Goals and Objectives

In the next years ten (10) years, VCI will strive to leap forward and morph into a tertiary educational institution that offers additional specialized courses along the lines of education, liberal arts, business and commerce, public safety, and other professional areas, like hotel and restaurant management services, eco-tourism and information technology. It is committed to the attainment of the following institutional goals following its mission and vision:

1.Serve as repository and transmitter of safeguarded knowledge, skills, and cultural values;

2. Sustain an atmosphere conducive to lifelong learning and self-motivation for students to pursue specialized knowledge for professional growth and service;

3. Actualize an enabling administration that materializes the requisites for good quality teaching and learning environment;

4. Pursue a genuine search for new and expanded knowledge through rigorous scientific research methodologies, communicate such knowledge to diverse audiences and apply it to solve or manage practical problems; and,

5. Institute linkages, collaborations, and partnerships with other schools, agencies, and communities.

In the next ten (10) years, VCI should be able to:

1) Standardize curriculum revision and instructional updates based on the CMOs and requirements of the regulating and accrediting bodies and obtain accreditation for its programs;

2) Establish mechanisms for faculty and staff reskilling and upskilling that are attuned to concerted efforts for student formation and lifelong learning;

3) Introduce organizational and structural reforms based on established procedures that will enable the institution as a system to function as expected;

4) Foster an integrated research culture that connects with other institutions of learning, agencies and organizations and that feeds classroom instruction with lived experiences that facilitate student-centered learning and, at the same time, provide knowledge products that can be useful to the academic community and other stakeholders;

5) Standardize student services for library materials, health, and student organizations, among others;

6) Facilitate student and faculty involvement in social involvement activities to stimulate the desire for service.
